can anyone who had the 11 horse tell me why you handicapped that horse as the winner?

British Medium (11) was the third fastest horse coming into the race in addition to being trained by a TRAINER with great  pair-ups/new tops (the last 90 days).  Coming into the 9th race - I was shocked that only one-ticket was alive on the #11 in the P6.

First let me say that my exotic sequence was toast by the ninth; but the eleven horse, British Medium, certainly figured to run very well.  By looking at past performances and the speed figures earned,  current form and breeding BM was very competitive on paper aside from the eventual runnerup Premium Quality.

From a breeding standpoint British Medium is impeccably bred!  A homebred from B. Wayne Hughes by the top class Storm Cat and out of Grade I winner Macoumba, BM is a half brother to leading sire Malibu Moon etc.

BM had two races both sprinting on the grass.  The first at 22-1 where he rallied stoutly ( last quarter in some :23 flat) earning a TG 10 and a Beyer of 77.  Then favored a month later BM again rallied strongly to get third money while a bit wide earning a TG of 9 and another Beyer of 77.  Of note is that the rail was way out for this race and both numbers could have been better, certainly the Beyer is too low.

Current form on a horse that has not raced in five months is always dicey and cappers rely on workouts to assess sharpness and condition.   On May fifth BM went five panels in :59 and change ranking fourth of 35 to work that distance.  Two prominent clocking services reported a \"huge solo move with a very good finish\"  and \"an excellent drill finishing strong in eleven and change while giving the impression that there was much more in the tank\".

Mandella followed that move with seven-eights five days later, then a mile work six days later before a couple of salty, shorter moves for yesterdays race.  British Medium ($10) outdueled the favorite for a clear cut score.

Lastly, the TG analysis picked what appeared a hopeless longshot in this race and that horse ran a very solid fourth at over FIFTY to one!  An exacta box with the first two finishers was recommended.  On the day the TG analysis was superb.  In conclusion, picking Sundays winners, Monday morning... is not very difficult at all!  BBB

Agreed, TG was superb at hollywood on sunday. TG finished up belmont 10th with a nice exacta and kept it rolling with the early double at the wood. Very nice winner/ exacta in 4th as well.

( the greed got the best of me when I saw valentine gift at 53-1,  only if the 5 runs out of third...)

11 Horse British Medium, was the second fastest and on the improved on Turf that run a 9 last time out, the fastest Ginobli dont have the stamina and premium Quality havent run on turf, is a 12 percent firster on Turf.

The 11 showed promise in his first two starts which we\'re on turf, the second of which he was the favorite.  I particularly like maidens who showed some quality in first or second start and has an extended break.  If they are close with number power, I always play them to fire a big shot first back.
