Allan or Jerry,

I don\'t have access to a head on replay, but I just watched the Wood again and I don\'t see Tale of Ekati 3w on the 2nd turn.

He is ON the rail in the early part of the turn, then appears to move out into the 2nd path about halfway the turn.  But it would seem very unlikely he was in an average of the 3 path for the whole turn.

He was definitely inside of War Pass.  Did you give War Pass a 4w for the secont turn?  (He is not part of the special, so I don\'t have his sheet).

Thanks in advance for clarifying.

Jim, we do have ground guy there and he caught Tale of Ekati 3w. I reviewed the race on the computer here and Tale of Ekati was defintely 3w on the first turn. Frankly it was difficult to see exactly what path the horses (War Pass and Tale of Ekati) were in on the 2nd turn. However, at no point did I see Tale of Ekati inside War Pass except right at the end of the 2nd turn and War Pass drifted out as well. Tale of Ekati was outside War pass down the backstretch that I could see and for a good part of the turn I couldn\'t tell. But Tale of Ekati wasn\'t inside him and frankly that\'s what we pay our observers for. I didn\'t see enough to overrule him. I feel comfortable with 3w3w designation.

I just looked at the Wood and even without a head-on, the tightest he could possibly be on the second turn is 2-3, which would be a 1/4 point difference. And he could be 3w-- hard to tell without the head-on, which Litfin uses.

I have the head on and TG is very much on the money re path for TOE.Litfin does a great job in NY.

Jim, TOE is a bomb, stop trying to talk yourself off him if you really think he\'s got a shot, buddy.

Thanks Allan and Jerry.

And you are right Miff, I will follow your advice.  I don\'t mind talking myself off 2-1, but not 20-1.......
