Very gutsy performance by BS and the runner up. His figs were way too light going in and suddenly this huge top?.Does not reconcile,imo.

Aside from Spring At Last(who flopped)who was else was graded stakes company here?
Winner of Bay Shore(1:23 3/4) received beyer 100.

Final time of Carter 1:23 flat(1:22 9/10).Stones=109,EF=108 and PW=107.
I\'m looking for the sense here.

There\'s no disputing Stones\' heart,however this race was far from a true grade
one on sheer ability of the participants alone.

Iron,

The only perspective is that BS ran the fastest race of the day all things equal, but he did not beat anything special. The second horse, EF is a new horse in his last 3 races.

So according to Levine the inside was the worst of it? Maybe Levine should
review the charts for the day.Once again,I give credit to stones heart,but
I still don\'t see his last two races as big figs.He\'s beaten 2nd rate company
and been all out doing it.

The rail was not good on Sat(from many sources) and Zito also advised to stay off.It may look like horses are on the rail down the backside but the head on shows they are 2-3 path.

Also don\'t know what you watched but Bustin Stones ran the fastest race of the day (all things equal)and a lifetime top, negative fig on sat( bet on it)

I had the stones as a major play against, no luck, but if anyone feels inclined check out temporary saints sheet on sat at the big, that is a lesson in itself on a sheet play (check out intermittent poly runs)

Well put miff! You can only take on the task at hand. It\'s awesome to see the owner/trainer get there first Grade 1 together. Great story.
