When you look at dead rails, do you look only at paths on the turn (based on your ground loss info), or also paths in the straightaways?  I suppose that, due to banking differences, the rail could easily play differently on the turns than in the straightawys.

Big Glen, while out in the track on the turns, came up the rail in the stretch to win the Rushaway on Saturday.

RICH

I felt the same, I don\'t play poly, so I played todsy, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I never feel that way. Oh well, we\'ll get them in the Derby Saturday.

Under ordinary circumstances, the only info we get from our trackmen is on the turns. On rare occasions I request them to get straightaways for just that reason, and you can also tell from chart calls and replays, if necessary. Mostly I just go by the turn information.

I did a TP day from earlier in the week, and there definitely was a dead rail.

Lost Cause

I finally got to look at the replay of that race..I would have been walking to the window on the turn.  Racecar Rhapsody looked like he was going to come up the inside and crush them, then he runs like he has a parachute attached to his back..I don\'t usually bet Turfway so I can\'t comment about the rail but in that race it looked dead..

If it is a Synthetic Track then the stretch rail is dead.

Book it..............
