Derby Future Pool 2 - Perfect Drift

Jerry, judging by your (or someone else\'s) comments in the ROTW analysis, it certainly seems as though I wasn\'t the only one who took an optimistic view of this one in the KD Future Pool. Please tell me that:
1. You also played him. Or someone in the office.
2. That he took his little baby step forward today at TP.

$50 @ 90-1 goes a long way.

I played some others, but they are falling by the wayside, with Blue Burner being the exception.

TG--So I\'m sitting here trying to figure out what can go wrong. I got in strong early on Harlan\'s Holiday (40-1), Request For Parole (60-1) and Perfect Drift (100-1), not parimutuel. In pool 2, I bet Essence Of Dubai (48-1), more on Perfect Drift (who we tried to buy, along with Request For Parole) at 91-1, and strong on the field (7-1), which includes Medaglia D\'Oro, Equality and Buddha, among others. I have made no other bets.

I actually don\'t think Harlan\'s Holiday and Request For Parole are the right kind (the only one with big February numbers who has won the Derby is Thunder Gulch), but at the prices I\'ll take it.

I agree that neither Harlon\'s Holiday and Request For Parole look the part, but the prices are too juicy to pass up at 40 and 60/1.
I guess sitting in the position you are in, if Johannesburg or Repent jumps up and runs a big one, so be it. Looks like all the bases are covered to me. But then again, words from a schlub like me do not line your pocket with green.

Additionally, thanks again for GREAT turf figures. Irving\'s Delightful in the Pan American was an easy single in the Pick 3\'s. VERY hittable exacta and triple. If only Macho Uno could have found even more trouble and let Hail The Cheif win. Then we\'re talking a closing Pick 3 in the few thousands I\'m guessing.

I\'ll tell you what can happen, some unknown horse named Guppy\'s Secret comes flying out of the cloulds and nails Perfect Drift at the wire for one of the biggest upset in racing history!!!!!!

He\'s not nominated for the Triple Crown. For those who are not members of Graph Racing, we just bought this horse, and he won\'t be supplemented.
