I would prefer to download them from your site here so that I can study them on the plane on my way to Chicago.

I leave Friday October 25th in the AM.

By the way, are you TG guys going?

P.S. October 3rd I am flying to Kentucky to visit my namesake, Point Given and to attend the opening day at Keeneland.

TGJB

We\'ll have everything up before then (including foreign numbers), pre-entries a week or so earlier. As it stands now no-one from here is going, but that could change if we have a horse running in a stake that weekend.

Just got word from my brother that he can score 2 additional BC tix in the Marquee Village. That, & the fact that Mall\'s handicapping will be in close proximity, is the good news. The bad news is that they cost $285 a piece. I should also warn PGGM that my brother is 21 yrs younger than I am & was nicknamed the Babe Magnet by an actress he used to date.

He sent me some articles from the Chi papers indicating that there have been 2 recent breakdowns & some of the locals are questioning the safety of the track a mere 6 weeks from the Big Show.

Finally, I\'ll be at Kee opening day as well PGGM.

What the hell is the Marquee Village?

PGGM:

I hope you have tix for AP. No general admission seating available, first time in BC history. BTW, bring warm clothing and rain gear, LOL. End of October in Chicago can be a bear.

Mall:

It comes as no surprise to me that the person bringing up the story about safety at Arlington is none other than the hack columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times Bill O\'Donnell. He\'s had it in for Arlington ever since he got the job after Dave Feldman passed away a few years back. He rips Arlington on a regular basis, while the now defunct Sportsman Park and Hawthorne receive a \"free ride\". I believe AP execs turned \"Big Bill\" away from the free buffet table a few times...............

Had the concerns been raised by Tribune turf reporters Dave Surico and Neil Milbert or the Daily Heralds Joe Kristufek (the DH is a large daily serving the NW suburbs) then there might be something.

Breakdowns are an unfortunate part of the business. Perusing charts from other circuits on a regular basis, AP is no worse than others and just might be a tad bit better.

www.barntowire.com is a nice little website that has info on Chicago racing and other national reports.

BTW, ALL Chicago dailies are doing a piss poor job covering events and races leading up to the BC, kinda reminds me of the DRF whose link to BC stories are filled with articles from the 2001 BC.

Hello Jurmala Berzins and thank you for your reply.  Actually I already have my BC tickets and am ready to go.

I thank you for clearing up the information regarding the \"breakdown situation\" at Arlington Park because that is the one thing that can turn me off this sport.

Mall

The kind of tix you end up with if you delegate the task to a brother whose racing experience consists of accompanying me to the Arl Million, which is to say the most expensive ones. I\'m told they include a dining seat & lunch buffet in one of the festival tents, outside seating for the races, a parking pass, & access to the paddock area & main bldg. The last item is something to check, as I noticed that a pretty fair no. of pretty expensive tix do not include access to the main bldg, a must in my mind. I\'m also looking into some nominator tix, so let me know if you\'re interested in either.

TGJB

I\'m starting to think about going, so please keep me informed. E-mail is okay, phone      (1-800-331-3778) is better. Thanks.
