Not going to happen now that the lawsuit has been settled with the Bank. Would have been interesting to see the Bankers train him up to the Derby until the lein was settled.

However as lightly as O\'Neil has trained the horse since his last race he may need a van ride to get up in time.

Zanjero has the line, the post, the odds and most of my money.

wow, held up behind that pace, just looking for a decent close and some purse money, and Dominican still blew by them all.

tough read on the race though. it was a sprint to the wire on poly. it\'s going to be a real race on dirt in three weeks.

I\'m coming right back with Dominican tho.

With 50 yards to go Zanjero had his neck in front of Teuflesberg and neither Street Sense or Dominican had gone by Teuflesberg.

There is a good chance Zanjero did not see either one of them.

This was a tough beat since I had him keyed on top in everything.

I am not complaining. He will be a good price again on Derby Day.

Everybody will be a good price on Derby Day.

Those clockers who watch all workouts were saying all week that Great Hunter was working so poorly, especially as compared to when last seen at Kee, he was a non bet. They were speculating he had health issues.

As in the past, the words to the wise is to pay zero attention to the results of the Bluegrass.

Besides, what we saw out there at Keenland today was a turf race; very slow early, fast late. If you like the \"turf\" to dirt angle (real dirt), then perhaps you can go with any of the top 5 finishers, exception being that dog trained by Jamie Sanders.

I personally will take this race for what it was...one of the worst preps for the Derby in years.

Good Luck,

O\'Neil hadn\'t exactly knuckled down on the horse over the last five weeks. Two works, slow ones to boot.

Maybe the Bank made a good business decision to settle the lien so early, Great Hunter may be worthless in a very short time.

Nice score NCTony sounds like you had it pretty good.

Not to sound bitter but there is no doubt when Gomez went right handed on Zanjero at the 1/16th pole he surged to a solid neck lead only to pull himself up like he did in the Risen Star. He never saw the other horses to his outside and the inside has not been as favorable as the five or six path has at Keeneland. Zanjero will not be so close to the pace on Derby Day and there should be plenty of pace to run at.

He is going to need a new rider, Gomez will go with Pletcher. Who knows maybe Pat Day or Eddie D. have one more left in him.

They knew how to time it up............
