Whew, thought I was ready a eulogy for ROTW there for a bit.
Agree totaly with top two pix;and feel M. Storm w/Doolase 3rd lay figs to be strong for 2nd or 3rd.

i totally agree + keep up the good work tg + you got to love that west coast post time too !

thorgraph rotw\'s and analysis are always splendid example\'s of how to use sheets .

personally , i\'d like to see a good idea expanded on and perhaps in addition , a \" race of the day \"  could come into it\'s own time one day soon  ...

Excellent analysis by Thoro-Graph. The only problem with COSMONAUT is that he can\'t get a 1 1/2 versus this kind of company, nor does he ever beat them.

Too bad I did not pay attention to this obvious piece of information before the race. He likes to middle move, then hang which does not go hand in hand with success at the higher levels of turf racing.

I keyed him with the first two (BOBOMAN-an improving 5 yo out of KINGMOMBO; RUNAWAY DANCER-gives a nice effort every now & then and 1:26H work going 7f and attractive value). Off course I did not box the three; why would I do that???

My point is: NEVER BACK TURF LOSERS, REGARDLESS OF THEIR NUMBERS.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Maybe your point should be qualified with regards to class and odds, as you do here...

The problem with the TG analysis was the usual culprit of relying on the morning line as a basis for the suggested play, which in this case was pretty closely flip-flopped with actual odds between Bobo (\"He could run big but at the price he's a big underlay\") and Cosmo (\"the price makes the glass look half full\").

nice going joe - the 2 longest shots on the board making the exacta . usually read your post\'s , but i didn\'t notice any in advance of the race - still , i think your  assumptions about the races outcome are pretty tenious , meaning you might be right about the race , but not for the reasons you think .

I lost some money on COSMONAUT because I singled him in the pick 3 and pick 4 and  this cost me both wagers, but hey that is horse racing.  Boboman had the most upside because if you look at his sheet he keeps improving and was usuable because also the trainer/jockey combo of Gomez and Mandella.  Cosmonaut can only win like he did at Arlington, which is when he defaulted on the lead because no one else wanted the lead.  Turf numbers can be deceiving some times because trips play into the factor and the horse\'s running style.  The best is to look at the horse who keeps improving as one of the key factors.  Good posts.

Are you talking about pace?

NC Tony,

Be careful about using the \"P\" word on this site. Remember old friend Class was banished for life for being so silly as to suggest that pace has something to do with racing.

Miff-- that\'s NOT why he was banned.
