Things appear to be official. Rowdy Toddy Pletcher is moving a string out west next year. The move was inevitable. Mostly winter racing in the north east limits the opportunities for Rowdy's rapidly growing stable. A vast wasteland of one mile and one eighth Jan and Feb prep races at Gulfstream to wreck your best three year olds. No thanks. And the opportunity to take care of your owners wishes. Now is that the current ones or the new ones he will add once he starts stabling out west. And oh yes Polytrack. Yah right!

Expansion into Japan, Australia and Europe is on a collision course. The only variable being time.

Rowdy Toddy is now officially in position to match and surpass his former mentor D Wayne Lukas, known world wide as only "The King". Oh I know the current numbers blow the old dynasty numbers away, but purses are much larger and until you can show up everyday on both coasts at the best meets and kick everybody else's ass. You aint done nothin yet. People remember those days don't they, Wayne out west, Jeff in the East. Wal-Mart wasn't as big of a monopoly. Things have changed now. The King is running a small stable, surely wishes he had a handful more quality horses, and is filming TV commercials. Yah that's him, holding a press conference with his super agent Drew Rosenhous while also occasionally making tackles and catching passes. There's still plenty of spunk in those legs.

If Rowdy Toddy can go out west and consistently kick the livin crap out of a buncha shades wearin non workin west coast surfer bums. Come back east with his best Derby prospect, Circular Quay or even The Green Monkey and take down this years Derby he will have finally matched his hamburger sellin boss.

And at the same time taken a big monkey off his own back.

Its not a green monkey on his back any longer.............Its a Gorilla now and its riding him screaming on his back. Better drugs. That all Todd needs. Like Huey Lewis said, \"He needs a new drug\"
