According to a post on the Ragozin board, they have Rehoboth going back 5 points in his last.

Ahem.

According to a post on the Ragozin board, they have Magnum going back 4 points in his last. To put that into context, his last was the Big Cap, where he finished second beaten 3/4 by Lava Man, clearing the rest by 7 1/2 lengths.

If you believe Ragozin\'s figures, this is what you believe: that if Magnum had just paired his previous number last time, he would have won the the Santa Anita Handicap by 7 lengths, clearing Wilko and the rest by 15 lengths, by running the figure he did in an optional claimer.

Anyone believe that?

Jerry,

What\'s your view on Magnum and the OP Hcp? Looks like a good betting race. Pretty much all of them can go a point or so either side of \'0\'.

TGJB

Michael-- we do analysis for OP, so I won\'t comment directly. But I will say it looks like an interesting race, with some of the favorites looking no better than some of the longer ones, at the weights. Overweights may be a factor.

Also want to add (since a couple of guys on the other board didn\'t seem to understand my points about Rehoboth last week) that my comment about Magnum expresses no opinion about how he will do in this race-- just that common sense will tell you that last figure is not 8 lengths worse than the one before it.
