I think it\'s time for the sport to have updated injury report on horses that are going to be entered in races. Just like pro teams do week to week. Since a majority of the races that we bet are claiming. Basic fundermentals tells us that claimimg horses are hurting most of the time, but i think if a horse has been laid up for 6 month and over we should no why. I owned a horse a couple years ago named Lienancy who raced three times and ran 2nd every time never to break his maiden,we laid him up for 6 mmonths after he had surgery for front and back end issues. When he was entered to run for the first time after the layoff he went off at 3-5 and ran off the board. My point is the public never knew this and i think they should have.I bet the shit out og the Oakland Raiders getting 4- this weekend because i knew Priest Holmes was inactice along with their best offensive lineman Willie Roaf. I believe their is to much that the player does not know and should.Anybody who has ever been on the backside know\'s horses are with vets everyday being iced and rubbed you name it.When a good horse gets laid up we know why like Afleet Alex why not the claimers.

Conga:

Claiming races account for what 70% of the races run at all tracks nationwide?

The entire claiming game is based on hiding and concealing just the type of information you want trainers to disclose.

As I have posted before, full disclosure of this sort would end the \"claiming game\" as we know it.

I love you guys who bet NFL football seriously. For 58 minutes you watch 350 pound monsters push each other around, and then the entire game comes down to a 140 pound placekicker who comes from a country you never heard of, or a referee with wire rimmed glasses who is an insurance salesman 5 days a week.

Hi Rich,

I do play football seriously, but seldom watch. The fact that the games are so long makes me not interested, i just wait for the final then look at the box scores as i would that several racing charts i go over every day.

Thanks

Richiebee,

I bet both the horses and sports seriously.  I would hate to be relying on either to feed my family.  But despite your point about the 350 pounders and the kicker, there is little doubt that the \"math\" works better on betting sports and not horses.

I am betting 104 to win 100 on major sports, which is a 2% disadvantage.

We are betting into a 16 to 25% takeout on horses, plus we have the juicers to deal with.  Even with good figures, it is a big hill to climb.

Jimbo,

Try Texas Holdem with reload bonuses. They are literally giving money away. :-)
