The Acorn

Having a bad day today. My horse in Belmont\'s fifth fell and I suspect was put down cause Durkin had nothing to say.

But I got good odds on a longshot for the Acorn. I don\'t have her bet to win but if she does I\'ll be alright. Really it\'s a monumental stretch to keep the two favorites from finishing one-two, but with the scratch of Prospector..willa on the move may inherit the lead

Anonymous User: That perfecta was 70 bucks one minute before the race. Someone dropped some money on Willa...but the Frankel Mojo is in full swing.

Mall: May? You mean will. She looks a lot less likely to bounce on TG & her last no. was competitive on both. However,I liked her a lot better with PG in the race & the best value may be in the Acorn-Bel double.

Mall: I lost track of the time doing my post re tomorrow & missed seeing the race, in which You apparently got the lead & set a new stakes record, with Willa 2nd. I hope this isn\'t a portend of things to come.

Mall: TG deserves credit for hosting this contest & engaging in & promoting a most interesting debate on figure-making, a subject which should be of interest to any serious player. In light of the interest generated, perhaps a real $$ contest sometime in the future?

Yes, Superfreakicus, horses often do look less likely to bounce on TG, which is consistent with the statistics & reality & one of the edges TG is helping identify winners,IMHO. 13-1 Willa\'s second in yesterday\'s Acorn is a perfect example. She didn\'t bounce, & was eminently playable off TG in a race where a 3/2 horse set a stakes record & the exacta paid $34(Tabi says it was $70 up to right before post). Let me suggest that this pt would be a lot clearer & more meaningful to you if you had taken me up on my $1k challenge on this race.

superfreakicus: I\'m sure it would have.

how many have you put down tonight?

Anonymous User: I put both Bella and You over Willa. In hindsight I should have had the insight to weight You on top more heavily. Not only was Bella coming off a very fast figure her blood count went off after the race. More evidence for the bounce?  Perhaps.
