Mike Welsch\'s summary of BC workouts in DRF is a must read. The turf course was labeled \"yielding\' and John Velasquez called it \"squishy, like a sponge\".

Most importantly for me, I got the fast work out of Wildcat Heir I was looking for .. 4f 46.07

Richiebee,

Agree,Mike Welch has long had a good \"eye\" from my following of his  visual observations. On Monday AM the track was awash with clockers and connections with their binocs. Stevie Wonderboy got lots of praise in an effortless but fast work. Leroi looks explosive and powerful to me and as you said (and Frankel) the aluminum pads were precautionary only.

A few Pommes(Brits) were there gushing over the \"slow\" fig Ouija Board. They were saying that Wonder Again is getting alot of attention for a mare that could not even run down Riskaverse and OB regularly turns final eights under 11 seconds when right.

It\'s almost a crime that the weather will have much to say about the surfaces and therefore the outcome of at least the turf races.Weather calling for possible showers on Saturday.
