Jerry,

In Looking at St. Liam\'s Thoro-pattern its projecting this one 71% to run an off/X. Is this projection based upon the -6 Top or the most recent -2 Run? Also if it is the -6 top there could not be a sample size of 645 horses that have run a -6. I\'m confused on this one. Please help.

Thanks,
NC Tony

The explanation page for the Thoro-Patterns is in the intro section of this site. The top in this case is the neg 6, and the sample size doesn\'t reflect horses by what figures they ran, just what pattern. I will guarantee there is no-one else in there with both that pattern and a top of neg 6.

So yes, you have to take into account things like how big the top is, and that he may not have been fully extended last time, when looking at the TPs.

Thanks Jerry for the explanaition. That helps clear up a few misconceptions about that for me.
