Is this the fastest \"FIG\" ever giving to a turf horse. He does not need to be on the front end to win.Who know\'s this guy might toy with this field. A pure MONSTER!

Their have been a fair number of horses run better than a 1 on turf.  I can only recall one horse doing in back to back, and just a few that have ever done it again.  Might be a useful study...  Percent of top/pair/off/x after a 0.75 or better on turf.

kev

Yes I think that 2.0 neg number he ran in his last is the fastest turf fig. ever. He will be tough on BC.

flushedstraight

In summer 04 Frankelstein\'s Nothing To Lose ran four straight one & a halfs and then exploded in the Shadwell with a negative # (something like a negative two, best ever?) and then he couldn\'t be found in Texas. You can blame the turf condition there but he toyed with the yielding turf at Toga three months prior. On the other hand and unlike Leroi, he only had three weeks between the Shadwell and the BC.

On a related note and probably irrelevant, all three of Frankels BC winners had their final preps at Belmont.

Even more irrelevant, the last BC winner to prep in BlameCanada was Macho Uno(?) and if my bitter ripping-up-tickets-memory serves me correctly Stevens was much to George Woolf cool on Point Given in Kentucky that day.

TGJB

This is the kind of post we like. NTL indeed had only 3 weeks rest, and a much more extensive campaign in general. But he was very wide in the BC, and ran much better than it looked.

That may be true, but on the other hand, put your thumb over the last number and he looks like several others.

jimbo66

I will go one better.

If you put your thumb through the last number, Artie Schiller is faster.

Paired 0\'s in this race look good, if Mig can give the horse a nice trip.  He likes the track, plus he won\'t be overbet like last year.  He was a bad favorite in the same race last year.  THis year he is faster and will be a price.

congaree1

Good call Jimbo, i love AS but i don\'t want to get my hopes up that he is going to be an under lay again.i don\'t like Mig on him,he should have never lost his last race, plus mig was on him last year recovering from that wrist injury.Valdivia would be the perfect match for this horse, remember Val Royal at Belmont in 2001 3 wide and last turning for home and crushed with Valdivia up.

Jimbo66---

Agree...but he can\'t run anything near his best if not firm.

Good Luck,

Leroidesanimaux is a solid bet-against in the Breeder\'s Cup. Anyone is welcome to bet their house on him at low odds, but I suggest players go elsewhere. It should be noted that, historically, Frankel sucks in the Breeder\'s Cup. And he\'s not winning at Belmont this meet. [Long story deleted.]

Your move.

Congo--

Nice comment on Migliore. Now the guy breaks his leg and is off AS. Don\'t stand next to anyone during a thunderstorm.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

All i have to do now is forecast the pick six.

jbelfior

Good one. I\'m friends with Richie and this is just his luck. He was really high on ARTIE. The poor guy can\'t catch a \"break.\"

Not impressed with the Euros in here. I think an American based exacta is highly probable.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

i think the mile went in 1:43 and change (no, not 1:33) when the belmont course was all boggy on BC day back in \'95. forecast looks ok next week, but this thing will be difficult to handicap until we see the turf condition.
