Since it\'s a slow day-- dinner at nice restaurant on me for anyone who can get Friedman to post up to date sheets for the last 2 dirt races on opening day at Saratoga. That was the disputed day where Len said the track should be treated as not getting much slower despite sealing of the track in the middle of the card, and therefore gave out terrible numbers to those that ran in those late races-- like Folklore, who won the Matron by 14 Saturday. If he did post them, even the hard core true believers (Vito, you out there?) could see what that irrational dogma means in practice.

I\'ve cracked the Rag Board. I\'m in, not through the application process though. But difficult figures are the last thing in the world that bunch is gonna be prone to reconsider.

They\'d rather eat their own children than admit a figure can sometimes be very difficult to assign and a mistake was made. We know they won\'t revisit a figure.

Which reminds me. I was perusing your archives room the other day for trends and noticed you have changed Commendable\'s Belmont Stakes figure to a 2. It was definitely a 3 when first assigned. If I remember the Big Sandy that day, it was the Sandiest. 2:31 Belmont 25 second quarters on a loping gate where everything that dug down and pounded the sand languished. Never seen anything quite like that one. Regardless of what that race was and its pretty clear no one can say for sure, the amenability to revisit previous figures indicates effort to reflect the truth.

You won\'t find that over there. If someone can convince them to come clean you ought to buy them Siro\'s. You\'ll be able to afford it if Distorted Humor keeps getting these nice looking horses. He\'s gonna get some top flight mares now.
