Murray Johnson, trainer of Perfect Drift, should seriously consider entering PD in the Mile. He has a couple recent grass figs that are in the 1 range, which makes him very competitive in the race [not many running \"0\'s on the grass]. In the Classic, likely entry, he has no shot.
May they all come home safely!

He\'s never distinguished himself on the turf versus Gr 1 type animals. He\'s likely to pick up a check in the BC Classic ( I agree he probably will not win it). He\'ll be off the board in the Mile turf.

Good Luck,

I agree. I think PD should run in the classic again. His last race was good and if you look at the major contenders, a lot of them are either vulnerable at 10F or have a style that could get them into trouble.

Commentator and Bellamy Road could cancel each other out on the front end.

St Liam is still unproven at 10F against top horses.

Rock Hard Ten is still iffy to make it and be in top form.

Afleet Alex probably shouldn\'t even be trying to make it.

Lava Man ran a great race in defeat, but he was vanned off and experienced horses that get real good suddenly often don\'t hold their form for too long.

Flower Alley is improving and obviously very good, but I don\'t think he should be scaring anyone away.

If Borrego is the horse to beat, we should pool our money and claim someone to run. :)

Can we bring back Volponi? Ramsey and Romans must be sick over ROSES IN MAY.As of this moment, it certainly appears to be a weaker Classic crop than we have seen in a while. With the race being in Belmont, the FUNNY CIDE connections are desperately trying to get the gelding interested in racing again. Who can blame them?

This race may end up being won by a 3yo.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

The old boy keeps grinding away. If this were the Kelso and not the EPO era he\'d probably have much more on his resume. Agreed the Classic is where he should be aimed.

Hard to believe Zito would run them together. No way Bellamania can stay with Commentator though

Think hes less a 10 mark horse than a 9 mark horse too, but felt the same way about Black Tie Affair and cashed that Classic.

Mandella did a pretty good job earlier having him ready.

They say the dang injury is already healed. Now its a question of getting him into shape. If hes not ready for his best he won\'t run.

He\'s one to worry about isn\'t he

We\'ll know more about Flower Alley after the Gold Cup. He\'s definitely got an improving runners chance. Beyer knocked him down a pinch off his Jim Dandy. Still not sure which way TGraph went but hes at least demonstrated he\'s a -2 horse at 9 marks.

Borrego is a very useful horse. You could try to claim for three years and not come up with as good a one.

Scrappy T is still out there
Suave ran a nice one last
Sun King, what about him?...lol I hope he goes

CTC,

\"Hard to believe Zito would run them together. No way Bellamania can stay with Commentator though\"

I actually ran into Zito on a Hot Dog line at Saratoga last weekend and asked him what he\'s going to do with the two of them if they both remain sharp. He laughed and said \"I\'ll get to that road......\"
