Anybody remember the discussion about splitting the variant for opening day at Saratoga? I said you had to take off from the two dirt races after they sealed the track, Friedman said you didn\'t, and gave them really bad numbers. I predicted that almost all the horses out of those two races would go forward next time out, on Ragozin.

Anyway, the first two finishers in the Spinaway came out of one of those races. They weren\'t that fast on ours, no telling how slow they were on Ragozin-- but I\'m guessing they went forward.

Meanwhile, the winner was Pletcher, in a graded race. stay tuned.

TGJB,

I remember the conversation and I\'m spitting that I didn\'t have this exacta because I hated the favorite in there!

Pletcher\'s horses are running fine for the last 3 days.

That was a pretty dismal performance by Ashado and Island Sand.  The pace was quick, but the pacesetter held better than the other two.  10F was a small question mark for Ashado, but she was done at the mile point.

See Flower Alley do same tomorrow as he can\'t handle the distance either.

The detention barn was 50/50 for Pletcher today.

NCT,

\"See Flower Alley do same tomorrow as he can\'t handle the distance either.\"

You don\'t really think the distance was a major factor in this one do you?

She had one subpar race at 10F in the past, but it could just as easily have been the off track that day. Plus today she was \"done\" late on the turn.

Today Bailey said that RR is NOT a 10F horse, but that the other horses are also suspect so he might be able to overcome it. Maybe all the major contenders will spit it out. :)

\"The detention barn was 50/50 for Pletcher today.\"

Good batting average. :)
