In a current DRF poll, 78% of the voters feel that LOST IN THE FOG ran a better race than WOKE UP DREAMIN\' in the recent Summit of Speed.

Results like this ensure that guys like TGJB will never starve.

FYI: SARATOGA COUNTY has a mysterious \"colic like\" ailment and may never race again. Sort of like the mysterious ailment that Jason Giambi had last year.

Good Luck,

Agreed, although Jerry is hardly the only guy with this opinion, or to give WUD a better figure than LITF.

Two of the feature articles in the DRF handicapping section also are pretty much saying the same thing.  I do hope the people voting in the poll are big bettors!

I think you guys are wrong about T-Graph giving WUD a better figure than LITF.  I could be wrong and maybe Jerry can clarify but i seem to recall a post where he discussed the race and was comparing both races to some other race (maybe the Madcap Escapade race?) and said

\"WUD ran faster and LITF ran MUCH FASTER\".

But I could be wrong and I can\'t find the post.

I guess Jerry retired off of his Select Six score at Delaware though, since he is MIA on the board and alot of the stuff yesterday would normally have drawn his attention!!

I think WUD ran a better race than LITF at Calder, but I think LITF has a higher probability of both holding his peak form and moving forward between now and the Breeder\'s Cup Sprint. LITF is a 3YO with room to improve and WUD is a 5YO with a very gappy record that just got really sharp. There almost has to be a greater chance his form will head south between now and then. Those that think WUD is better now, may not get a chance to put their money on the line while still holding that opinion.

Jerry said he broke the LITF race out and he gave a -2 something, WUD a -4 something if memory serves.

I frankly dont understand how the race is broke out when run on the same track, same distance and an hour apart.

Also, I have a feeling we will be hearing more about Saratoga County, a little to mysterious if you ask me.

I found the posting where Jerry mentioned he broke the race out and added 3 points.

JErry can you explain why you would do something like that, assuming you did make the race 3 points slower.

Many people on this board have been saying that the WUD race is faster, even though the time was slower.  However, those that have been saying it, base it on the pace factor, that LITF was cruising, unchallenged on the lead, while WUD was chasing Don Six, one of the quickest horses in the country.

But it seems to me to be strange that Jerry would break out a race based on the pace scenario.

Was there a track change in the 1 hour between races that led to the three point change?

Or was this simply projecting that the WUD race should have been faster, even though the clock says different?
