You\'re better off clicking the Cards link. The big race link is geared more towards futures wagers. Of course they have a Royal Ascot link.

The Racing Post might be the best horse racing website on the planet. They have results going back 10 yrs. Course layouts that include rises and valleys; trainer, jockey, owner stats that go back 5yrs. The DRF should be ashamed of themselves.

http://bigrace.attheraces.co.uk is another fine website. Take a look in their Video Features link for interviews with top trainers, an auction of Ascot Memorabilia, an update of construction at Ascot [they\'re building a paddock area for 8,000!] and how York geared up for the Royal meet.

Also, not to be an ingrate, but I was hoping to be able to use high quality speed figures laid out on a graph format.

While all the stuff you mentioned is available to the general public, I can\'t imagine there are that many people out there risking cash on the race who are using a sheets-type product (especially if priced at 25 GBP a pop).  Even if the odds are done by bookmakers, I would expect to find some off the beaten track angles using pattern plays (and if I am lucky, sheer number power).

We put the English venture on hold for a while-- other fish to fry. Doing it on an on the fly basis, it\'s a whole lot easier when the DRF prints pps for the races-- unlikely we\'ll be doing much without that as it stands now.

does anybody know if the york races are on on television anywhere? nyc otb and youbet have been showing most of the top UK racing. for some reason they are not showing the best meet of the year.

Yeah, I actually got up early to try and catch Ascot this morning, but it wasn\'t on. Wish I was there, I\'ll probably go again when they get back from York in a couple of years. I highly recommend the trip, but only if you like good racing, good girl watching, and drinking. And there are good places to hang out where you don\'t need the monkey suit.
