Mo, don\'t give up on Alex....unless you hate your money.

Spa,

Hes the best horse. The problem is he\'s gonna be short Belmont odds. Too short to bet to win and I\'ve lost three years running on short odds Belmont horses hooked up in exotics so taking a shot at him may be logical.

Hes very nicely bred though. Silver Hawk, Nureyette, Hawaii, theres others too, that and his style look to get him 12 marks and his trainer is very confident in him. The trainer has done a good job.

War Emblem was one dimensional like Bellamania.

Funny Cide may not have really wanted 12 marks and he got a little too aggressive in workouts leading into the race.

Smarty got too close to the pace and probably was not as good at 12 marks. Still, he could have done it.

What separates Alex is theres no pressure and he\'s got the right pace style. If he stays sound, hes gonna be tough.

Love of Money:

He\'s in the Met Mile it looks. That race Wednesday was clearly the best on the card. If it was a public workout it could be interesting.

Chuckle

AA is vulnerable on bounce off new top(-3 or 4?)but not on style. He relaxes off of slow fractions no problem(Ark Derby)The Belmont pace won\'t get him beat, but an off day could.

Love of Money needs the front and he needs it unpressured.Medallist in the Met insures he gets neither. The PA derby came over an asphalt inside speed favoring track.SA he took some heat and backed up.Unless Dutrow turned him into a new horse-the pace and pressure of the Met will overwhelm him. There are no breathers in that race.

Love of Money is a front end horse, but, if you can get past the fact hes running on four days rest it could get interesting. He likes Belmont and wheeling right back you have to figure Dutrow believes hes got him right and that the Belmont slop race was merely a public breeze.

Medalist certainly could be a problem, but how hard is he going to want to run trying to stay a mile again? Still need to see the P.P.\'s but not certain Medallist is going to force the pace.

Forest Danger could certainly be a very dangerous horse on paired negative 4\'s or thereabouts. Spose he could bounce on them too though.

Ghostsprinter is the Key. He\'s five now and has been a horse that hasn\'t been immune from all the little aches and pains that horses get. He\'s had 7 months off and a hole drilled through his skull to suck out sinus debris. He reportedly lost some weight, though he is working well. If he loses this race its gonna to be too late next one to take advantage of all the money hooked up on him. He may win, but hes trying to win under the most challenging conditions of his career. Undoubtedly a good sprinter, the question arises whether that B.C. Classic and the win over Presidential Affair are all they\'ve been cracked up to be. It\'d be nice to take a shot at him at 10 marks, but this is a good spot too. If he wins you take your hat off and say \"dagnabit...i\'m gonna get you next time you faker\".  If he loses this is a good spot to have the winner.

Still need to see the p.p.s

Big,

Logically, I agree it would seem that Love of Money is up against it.  Not sure what his figure is from yesterday, but off his previous races, he is too slow to compete with Forest Danger, Ghostzapper and Medallist.

However, beware of Dutrow\'s comments.

He said that Love of Money had \"hind problems\" that needed to be \"fixed\".  Dutrow has said many times that what Allday does to his horses is straighten out problems in their hind end that gets them to run faster.  He is setting the groundwork for an explanation of a big \"jump up\" in performance.  Or at least, he could be.

I don\'t trust this guy and watching him interviewed recently on TV with his school girl giggling and snickering, hasn\'t warmed my heart any.  The guy is a cheating snake.

Beware......

... Mr. Dutrow begins a 60 day vacation courtesy of NYRA on June 1. Anyone think this
influences Love of Money\'s potential entry in the Met?

I believe Medallist hurt himself in training this morning... declared from the Met. I agree with Chuckles... good spot to take a stand against GZ. Love of Money is one viable alternative.
