Props to JB

I think props still go to JB. I think he mentioned the second place finisher was due to run a good race. I for one am among all the other stiffs who went with the logical horses and did not come up with anything creative.

Someone pick something like this then come talk to me. Then you will have my respect.

TGraph implied the top four were gonna bounce.

The track was fast and a fast pace was foreseeable. What was not foreseeable is how fast they did run and how that pace and the bounce would impact the field.

Once you got past the Fab Four there were the Fringe Five horses that made sense in the following order:

High Limit
High Fly
Wilko
Closing Argument
Giacomo

High Limit was mauled and Wilko Bled. High Fly was too close to the pace and probably distance limited. The winner probably ran a TGraph 3.

Giacomo was working lights out and figured to improve. But he still came home in over .26 in slow time on that track.

Getting that far down for your winner was tough work. The guy I want to talk to if Giacomo does anything more is Hossgnats friend.

Never seen payouts like that before. Don\'t expect to again.

Ctc,

You know better than to make that statement. History repeats itself. I will happen again, will you see it before it does?

I don\'t know about props to JB for his Derby picks.  I am pretty sure he will tell us he didn\'t cash a ticket.

However, I will say props to JB for answering questions on this board yesterday and today about the race, his figures, etc.etc.

I checked in on the \"other board\" today, just to see if anybody had any interesting insights.  Nothing at all for the entire day.  Hard to believe that the day after the derby, nobody bothered to say anything on that board.  I saw one post that was interesting the day before where somebody who paid the money for the in person seminar and said at the end of it, he had no idea who Len liked.  He also claimed he was with 3 longtime sheets users who also had no idea who Len liked.

Probably a good year to NOT offer an opinion, but I think you have to go out on a limb in the Derby if you are running a company in this line of work.

No, nothing over there. I used to be with them and after using both JB gets the majority of the big races right.

CtC,

Guaranteed the winner does not get a \"3\" for the reasons discussed in a different thread.  Once you go this far down the path of giving -5, -3, -2, and -2, it is hard to come up with a \"3\" for the Derby.

I would set the \"over under\" on Jerry\'s figures for the race at:

Closing Argument -1
Giacomo 0

We\'ll see if I am anywhere close.

I just know one thing I don\'t want to see when the figures come out.  I don\'t want to see that High Limit paired up again.. :)

Jerry pours over the Triple Races very carefully. He\'s also amenable to discussions regarding tough to assign figures. He takes a stand. Taking TGraph is a no brainer. Giamcomo was the longest of longshots yesterday and that was a once in a lifetime result on form and fate. Though drugs off can\'t be ruled out yet.

Chuckles_the_Clown2

I\'ll defer to TGraph, but I dont think so Jimbo.

That was essential a 2.02.4 on a wicked surface coming home in .26 plus by distance challenged pedigreed horses.

I\'m guessing 2 or 3 for CA

TGJB

Jimbo-- pretty funny about pairing HL. Ditto CTC about Bush washing out before a press conference.

The only thing I may ultimately get credit for about that seminar will have to wait until we see how all the drug stuff plays out.

Yeah, the Ragozin board is AWOL. I guess as Yogi once said, it\'s so crowded it\'s no wonder nobody goes there any more.

No, I didn\'t cash the Derby, or futures (CA would have done it). I\'m proud of myself for not betting as much on the race as I usually do-- it was tough to have a strong opinion. I did step out on the Madcap Escapade race AND I STILL CAN\'T BELIEVE SHE RAN OUT AND I GOT #!@& 1 TO 2 ON MY PLAY. That was one of the best betting situations I have ever seen.
