Giacomo became a man today. \'Shoe said that the minute Ferdinand walked on Churchill\'s hallowed ground he instantly changed from a boy to a man. Giacomo did too. It was obvious this horse was going to hit the board. Shame on me for not moving him into 1st and 2nd. Last night I got on him in my tri\'s for 3rd ONLY. Ouch.

I never would have had Closing Argument. Nothing to inspire in that one.

Alex did that little girl proud. Cleaner trip (not badmouthing Rose - he did OK) maybe it\'s a head-bob. He waited on Spanish Eggplant and that might have cost him late.

The iso cam of the mother of that little girl who succumbed to cancer was gutwrenching. Afleet Alex did your daughter proud mam.

Finally, It\'s obvious that Santa Anita was way quirky this year. All figures from SA were way off no? Horses coming from So-Cal ran 1st, 4th, 5th and 6th. So much for them being a cut below.

I am going to take a much deserved nap. I can\'t recall a worse day at the track personally. Ugly doesn\'t begin to sum up my Derby 131 day.

GA Anyone?

The results of this year\'s KD underscore how far racing has fallen and how pathetic it has become....And it helped to expose N. Zito for the over-rated horseman that he is.

Too, too bad.....but then again, on the bright side the winner can go back to California finish racing through his conditions.

I\'ll take it you didn\'t cash.

The Zito horse that surprises me with hindsight is Andromeda\'s. If someone said they would run that fast early and finish in that slow a time, I\'d have thought Andromeda would be in the top 3.
