A few numbers of interest from this meet possibly.  Silver has stated that something is different in Louisville and thought I\'d do a tiny digging while the numbers are a bit accessible as meet closes now.

The 3 leading trainers by wins were:  Joe Sharp(20), Brad Cox(19), and Steve Asmussen(17).

I looked up how these 3 specifically did in Non-Graded Stakes and Graded Stakes (does not count today\'s races which Cox won one):

Sharp, 0 for 5
Cox, 3 for 17 (Oaks, G3 Regret, Knicks Go $196k)
Asmussen, 0 for 21

Others who don\'t read this board have commented similar things to me about Churchill\'s races being different.  One friend said I haven\'t seen this many different trainers winning races and stakes there in about 20 years.  To which another friend commented, maybe contraction by Churchill with smaller crops allows for bigger fields and allows them to have more control over what goes on at their facilities.

I don\'t know if anything is different.  But wondering if Ellis Park is back to high percentage barns or if it is also a more even win percentage among the trainer\'s standings.
