for whatever it\'s worth..... castle gandolfo is 34-1 in advaced win wagering, but is somewhere around third, forth, or fifth choice in the Oaks-Derby double. Considering there is probably no foreign money in the advanced win pool, but most likely some big bucks in the Oaks-Double pool, looks like the Europeans are giving this guy a shot. American fans have given this horse no chance in the online polls... if the odds tomorrow are closer to 10-1 than the current 34-1, I will find that very interesting... By the way, you had to be impressed with Take Charge Lady. She was ridden aggressively out of the gate to get the lead, and lasted very well over a tiring, drying out track.

The double & win pools are only $1.3 million & $428k, the latter representing a small fraction of what will be bet tomorrow. The foreign & offshore books have had Castle at 10-1 for awhile, so don\'t be surprised if his odds go down some as a result of bookmaker hedges. Of course,Castle\'s odds don\'t change the fact that he didn\'t train at CD & my experience is that their prices on foreign horses are usually ridiculously low. By the way, Saar is still available offshore at 9-1 & PD is 15-1.

The real shocker in the win pool is Lusty at 18-1, the same as the Ill Derby winner & lower than the Ark Derby winner. I was looking to include him in the last slot of the super at what I thought would be close to 100-1.

You\'re right about TCL. She\'s a game performer & a game competitor & Mcpeek had her ready, despite what everyone was saying about how bad she looked & how she was pulling up after works, etc. Kind of makes you wonder if the same thing will be true of the Ohio bred anti-wiseguy horse tomorrow, doesn\'t it?

Still not so sure about HH tomorrow, but I have gained a lot of respect for Mcpeek this year. These aren\'t million $ yearlings he is training, and they are competing well in Gd 1 races all across the country. I am still sticking with Saarland, Perfect Drift, and the one foreign horse that eventually takes the most inside money.

Looks like the forecast has improved, and we should get a great day of racing tomorrow. Good luck to everyone........
