I feel like the last race was used to condition this horse. Otherwise it made no sense that Frankie wanted to lay so close to run off leader. The field was strung out like 30 lengths and as Ohana and Silver Knott lost ground mid way thru the race Detorri kept pushing on.

This one is well traveled and has handled the Spa Turf. His Man O War figure was surprisingly good and I expect him to be very tough tomorrow. Appleby burned a ton of money today. Maybe it helps the price.

Carl Spackler returns in good form. To beat Casa Creed he will need it while not letting Talk of the Nation and Irad get away from him.

Thorpedo Anna is legit. Bigger and better things are coming

Maybe time for TA to take on the boys. The Haskell would be a great spot. Win that and come back in the Whitney, all though the two weeks from the Haskell to the Whitney might be tough, or the Travers or Woodward? Or against older mares.

She made those horses look ordinary.

Would love to see her try the lawn. She has some really nice turf influence in her pedigree.

The other Appleby / Godolphin  is intriguing.  Keeps Buick on, lightly raced, out of Frankel, who get better with age. Small forward move off his last two figures to put him right there.

In the Woody, kind of leaning towards a Book em Danno / Prince of Monaco exacta box. Book em Danno has had enough time to recover from the Saudi trip, and his last figure and some development,  he lays over this field and at 9-2  morning line, seems generous.

Pretty dead on the board considering his figures. Appleby used to be almost automatic but the way his horses have been running I’m afraid to key NP at 5-1.

So of course they run one two.

Well I hope you went ahead and keyed him. I bet big and backed him up. This was my BB today.

Bizarre ride by Frankie as he took him back to last and I expected him to be laying closer. Moved up outside PT on the backstretch who was sitting 3rd. Dropped back again. Then moved 3-4 wide on the turn and was 2nd best. But he probably gets the same figure as the Winner. WTF!!!
