With the 2 year old champ finishing a troubled third, and Nysos only seemingly running for an 1/8th of a mile, while his competition looked like they were tied to the quarter pole, is he the top ranked 3 year old as of now?

He ain’t beating much out west, so just going by time and visually how he looked,
he looks really nice. Shame he won’t be in the gate first Sat. Of May, but it might be a good thing missing that rodeo.

Baffert ran 1-2 in the race, wiping out 30 derby points. Ran last in Hot Springs.
Have to figure he will be winning some of the other preps in Cali. Guess we will see how this plays out and effect’s the leaderboard for the derby.

Does Fierceness get a new rider after today? Looked like he was pinched badly at the start, then hard pressed for run, and carried wide in the first turn. And with the short stretch, looked like a tough race for him. At least the price on him should go up.

Nysos is as impressive a 3 year old I\'ve seen at this stage of his career.  I mean, those were some decent horses he just walked over. Why would someone doubt 10F at this point.  The pressure on CDI is going up from here.

Fierceness was wide at the start, but he was never getting by Hades, and the 6 was also wide turning for home and went by him easily. His number will be around that of the winner, but a champion needs to win that in spite of.
