Retired at the top of his game to Lane\'s End.

Showed athleticism, and versatility when beating MASTER OF THE SEAS at Keeneland. He followed that up with the best number in the BC Turf while running second to AUGUSTE RODIN.

I was looking forward to a 5yo campaign in 2024. Seemed to have many options ... International options if they wanted to go in that direction.

I thought Mike Repole was a sportsman?

It’s just business.

It\'s their horse obviously, but this irks be a bit.

They pretty much lucked into this one.  Despite the decades of experience around horse flesh, 10 months ago they were completely lost with him. \"Hey, let\'s try him on grass!\"

Horse had no business winning the 2nd AOC race at GP - everyone in the crowd was like, \"Wait, what was that\".  Then his connections thought, \"Why not try a G1 at a mile against the defending BC champ\", to whom he finished a fast closing neck behind. Four G1s later(3-1-0), they have the cinch older turf horse and the one that probably should be HOY. Would he be competitive against Equinox at 10F?  I\'d sure love to see that race.

I\'m reticent to say about anyone\'s horse, that they owe it to the fans to race, but when you find a diamond just laying on the ground, seeing him put away with less than a year on a surface that\'s he still figuring out - well, that stings.

Roman

If they gave Up To The Mark a head start, he still could not beat Equinox.

ajkreider

Maybe not. But there were plenty of people who expected him to be off the board against the Euros, and it didn\'t turn out that way.

Roman

He ran a super race in the BC turf, and is probably one of the most talented turf horses that was bred & have raced only in the U.S in a while.

That said , that thing in Japan seems to be a freak. Didn\'t mean anything malicious about UTTM, was just stating my silly opinion.

Would of been nice to see him race at 5, and also Equinox at 5 & Aguste Rodine at 4, best turf horse from all three continents. Would of been a good race.

Is there a TG number for Equinox\'s last race?

Good Luck,
