Check out the scene at san luis rey downs. Horses running for their lives. LA times reported 25 horses dead. Other than peter Miller, not sure who else trains out of there. Just awful

Its a terrible situation out here.  I have many family and friends that live in So Cal, its beyond awful. Last month we had devastating wildfires up here, now its down in So Cal. Just a tragic loss of life and property.

Our ever so popular U.S. congress is meeting and plotting to eliminate federal income tax deduction for losses and damages resulting from wild fires and earthquakes. This week! .... and the beat goes on.

There are some incredibly heroic people who risked their lives to save the horses they could. I\"m so sad to hear about Martine Bellocq, who was badly burned. I believe she is Peb\'s daughter-in-law.

Is there any word on whether Richard\'s Boy has been found? I read he was among the missing horses.

Update: Richard\'s Boy was indeed located (alive).

Unfortunately, the number is closer to 40. Among others, Miller, Baltas, O\'Neill, D\'Amato, Hansen, and Mandella had horses there. Slowly names of those that didn\'t make it are coming out. Very sad. Terrific outpouring of support at Del Mar this morning to tend to those that came from San Luis Rey. Also, the GoFundMe account is doing very well.

As of 1:30 PST over $200,000 has been raised to tend to the displaced horses and whatever other support is required. It will surely grow from there. Thumbs up.

I was happy to have the chance to donate.
