Cigar Weights

They made this a very interesting betting race given the weights.  Sharp Azteca with 125 - which is at least 10 more than four horses, and a points worth for everyone bar Biscuits.

Lots of potential angles to play (a PJ rebound?), but looking for some bombs underneath.  As I recall, TG maxes out at a point for weight - but 10+ pounds seems like a lot going a mile.

Furious Pete: Why would they max out at a point for weight? 10 pounds at a mile should equal almost exactly two (a little more than 3 lengths).

If the \"maxing out at a point\" rule really is used it would be very interesting to hear the rationale for it.

ajkreider: Not sure why I thought that. but I\'ve believed it for, like, 10 years now.  Nothing in the Intro, so who knows.  Early dementia, perhaps.
