Great news backyard fans!

When Beholder crossed the wire first on Friday it ensured a large attendance at the TG Summer Headquarters in the Backyard for Travers \'17.  A friendly wager with FrankD resulted in free beer on Travers weekend on his credit card for ALL TG attendees ALL DAY AND ALL WEEKEND!  Thanks Frank!  (I may have embellished the part about for ALL TG attendees but I encourage you to stop by and see if you can get a drink out of him anyway!  I know I\'ll have at least one on his dime and richiebee might have one coming also for instigating the wager!)

I made it to Margaux Farms and Ashford Stud on Friday and Saturday mornings.  At Margaux, we saw several yearlings in training including one several Fairmount friends own from a recent sale.  At Ashford, I was able to see Giant\'s Causeway, American Pharoah, Tale of the Cat, and Munnings. Without a doubt, Pharoah looked like he could still breeze 5f in 58 without a problem.  If you have the chance to make it by either place, do it.  Margaux, A PLUS. Ashford, A Minus....both were spectacular venues in the fall!  (Seeing AP on Breeders Classic Day added to the excitement of Saturday night\'s Instant Classic)!

The weekend culminated in a very solid score for me on the Breeders Cup late pick 4.  Thanks to Thorograph for reinforcing some opinions and providing outstanding data in the seminar to add significantly to my handicapping. #invaluable  Several lessons from FrankD at Saratoga and Roger at Del Mar helped me better structure and leverage those opinions.  I still made some mistakes during the day as we all likely do but overall the TG team has raised my game many notches!  Uncle Bill\'s next business idea is to have a TG Betting Coach Stand at the backyard this year to rival NYRA\'s at the Saratoga entry.

Wrongly, my apologies for not being able to touch base as it was a whirlwind two days as you can surely understand!  Maybe Thanksgiving weekend I make it down again to the Downs again.

Belmont3, while you were struggling to find a place to watch the BC, my sister informed that as fans at the Kentucky-Georgia football game in Lexington, they were also watching Chrome and Arrogate \"throw it down\" on the videoboard during the game!  Kentucky loves their horses.....wow!

Just an amazing weekend on so many fronts, especially the gambling one with only two ultra-strong opinions of my own in Beholder and Arrogate but that\'s all it takes sometimes to make up for the bad opinions and bad days esp if you are open to others\' ideas as well (ie, TG).....and did the CUBS really win the World Series days before?????
