Mohaymen with some work to do.  Field got up to ten and he draws 9, which is a tough spot for a two-turn race at GP.  They don\'t card a ton of two-turn dirt races that draw that size of field, so the sample is small - but I think only a handful have won from out there (Big Brown and Barbaro being a couple of them).

At the old GP, Big Brown and Barbaro were the only 2 to overcome the treacherous outside post.Mohay drew 9, not as bad as BB or Barbaro, from memory.

Cryptoclearance won from the 9 post in 1987 in a 9 horse field.

RICH

I have 9 races in the last year at 9f

all won from post 5 and in, one out of 11 post

First turn comes up fast and they are usually hustling out of there, if parked wide in that scenario, a disaster.

It\'s very tough to win from an outside post at Gulstream, say anything outside of the 7.  That\'s not to say it can\'t be done.  But you either have to get lucky or use some early gas to gain position.

As I recall Barbaro broke from 10 post and was able to establish a tracking postion from the 2 or 3 path all the way around the track, with half mile of 47 and change.  So he didn\'t have to use a ton of early energy to establish that position.  He then powered home in the stretch and galloped out like a really good thing (which was the most notable thing to me about the race).

Big Brown on the other hand broke from the 12 post and had to go 45 and change to the half mile to establish early position, which should have fried him, but he kept on going.

I personally think it is going to be tough for Mohaymen to win if a few inside of him show enough early speed to hang him out 4 wide or more on the first turn.

Big Brown gassed it from the 12 and cleared.

Barbaro was the 10 and was able to get to the two path pressing a stretch out sprinter(name escapes me Romans trained?)who hung in all the way around.

Sharp Memory from the Dale Romans barn. Stretching out sprinter--- Mark Guidry was aboard. Ran his eyeballs out.

Good Luck,

Silver Charm

Been raining a lot this week down here. Supposed to be a little more dry next two days but the threat of late PM thunderstorms is back for Saturday.

The catch here is it could be a flood where you are and 20 miles away totally dry. Also they have a LOT of grass races Carded. Was the same thing for Fountain of Youth day and it stayed dry and they SHATTERED their wagering records for that day. Up almost 25%.

Weather will be key to the handicapping for the whole Card

Silver you going to be their Saturday?

Is this race even worth wagering on?
