Turf course

ruthlessman: Yeah.
That graph really helps me get a handle on turf condition!

miff: Ruthless,

Ha ha.My pal there. Here\'s the dilemma. The inside paths are pristine(protected for a week) but that turf course drains towards the inside, that\'s where all the rain went. The 4-5 path out were chewed up badly pre rain and could precipitate clods kicking up.

Would have to think horses liking give in the ground will get their preference. Path bias, if any, will evolve during day with 3 grass races on tap.

Good Luck

Mike

jerry: If it\'s deep, go with the Euros.

trackjohn: If I\'m reading this correctly  it looks like PP 1 and PP 2 are \'bog-like\'!!

Bet Twice: The graph shows more moisture the closer you get to the rail, which would be expected per Miffs comment on drainage.  Not sure that you can interpret what that translates to in terms of condition, track bias, etc...

mjellish: Translated to dead rail when the fall meet opened.  Euro riders in general are much more willing to concede position (lengths) to save ground.  If the rail is dead and they dont figure that out quickly their mounts will be up against it.

mjellish: Could be a big day for the Leopard on the grass.  That guy almost never tires to get through on the inside and both his BC mounts look live to me.

jerry: Soggy ground. Toss the Californians. Upgrade the Euros and the Canadians.

HP: I know others have said this but the Euros that come over for this are NOT coming over because they run well on soft ground.  Nobody in Europe says \"oh boy I\'m sending my horse to California because he runs well on yielding turf.\"  I don\'t think anyone in Europe this year was thinking they were sending their horse to Kentucky because it was going to rain every day.  They are looking for firmer ground over here.

NoCarolinaTony: It\'s deep and uneven on the inside of turf course is how it reads...,
