Elementary question but I want to make sure I am completely correct.  

I believe this horse has to win the Phoenix on Friday to enter the BC without having to pay a supplemental fee.  Am I correct?

And Runhappy is in the race.  If true, this race holds much intrigue if the owners aren\'t willing to supplement him.  I\'m guessing Runhappy goes off as the favorite, Work All Week 2nd choice.

Separate issue but related issue:  Should a previous BC winner be automatically eligible to future BC events?

If they supplemented him last year the fee the following year is much less if not gone entirely. They modified this a few years ago when Skip Away paid a handsome sum to run in the Classic which he romped in.
