Lots of Bob Baffert Love out there. Of course he\'s had 3 previous Derby winners and they all won the Preakness. Maybe he\'s the 80\'s and 90\'s Oakland Raiders of the Preakness, but if he keeps winning the Derby that string is gonna end somewhere right?

In the Baffert Era, (Since 1997), we\'ve had two odds on Preakness Favorites defeated in the race.

2000 Fusaichi Pegasus  1-5
2006 Barbaro           1-2

We\'ve also had quite a few dual Derby and Preakness winners

So there\'s been a lot of favorites beaten in the Belmont, some to my expense, but going off at 3-5 just feels like too much of a fair odds insult to play AP keeping the Baffert Derby/Preakness string alive.

Animal Kingdom was beaten in the Preakness by a nice paying horse, then beaten in the Belmont by an even better payer, granting the thought to position against AP in the Belmont is understood. But the Preakness is also a chance to Beat Him Twice!
