Specifically comparing Dortmund\'s work to AP work.
AP trained on his own no target and not in company.
Dort last couple of training session he had a Target about 5-7 lengths in front made the move around the far turn and pulled away going down the stretch.
I also noticed in Dort exercise he was 4-5 paths wide.
My question here is Baffert trying to teach Dortmund to rate, stay wide and not get in any trouble then make his move around the turn?
Thanks

Horses tend to be more aggressive when they drop down to the fence since they are taught that from early on. Working a horse in the 4-5 path would probably mean Baffert did not want Dortmund to go too fast(he didn\'t but finished huge)

Pretty much every major contender has worked well.Would be wise to follow comments this week re gallopers energy level as race approaches. Helpful to know how some normally gallop e.g. Upstart gallops like he wants to run through a brick wall.

Re the very brilliant AP. Not the most physical specimen and was surprised he worked that fast even though he did it easily. Came out of first two races a bit light this year, just wonder about his physicality, no question he\'s fastest on the racetrack and would have been TG fig wise if ridden to wire in last.
