How are the foreign figures composed - would you say they are nearly as good as your domestic ones? I guess it must go much less care into making these?

I really want to give them a try tomorrow, any advice or word of cautions as to how to best make use of them anyway?

The figures are what they are.  I don\'t think TG would put out a sloppy figure just to have it.  Not worth it and not their style.  Note how they are willing to go back and adjust a figure after the fact if the evidence supports it, which is contrary to most other services.

Only thing I would say is keep in mind the slower early pace of European races tends to compress the overall figure, especially on the grass races, because horses can\'t come home in 20 flat to make up for a 50 second opening half mile.  When the Euros come over here for the Breeders cup I adjust their figures by 2 points down, which seems about right, when trying to narrow down the contenders.

In effect, a lot of foreign races are \"s. pace\", which means you\'re basically disregarding the final time and doing it strictly based on the horses.

Except for at Meydan we don\'t have ground loss for foreign races. The good news is there are usually less turns.

Thanks very much for that info TGJB, I think I will give it a go! I guess also in races with slow pace that it would be \"cheaper\" to sit out wide, so the ground loss issue shouldn\'t be too much of a problem perhaps. It\'s really impressive if you can make reliable figures for so many tracks and horses, also abroad..! I guess the projection method would be even more reliable in the US though, with so many, more \"verified parameters\". Anyway I think those figures will give an edge tomorrow so let\'s see if I can capitalize on it!

Didn\'t see these in the Redboard Room on Sunday. Any chance of putting them up?

I missed the World Cup too. What kind of numbers was PRINCE BISHOP showing?

Anyone have an opinion on what number they ran? Something around a 2?

TGJB

After we do the day we\'ll post sheets with what they ran in ROTW.

Thank You - the Derby and World Cup are very interesting.  I have never seen so many horses affected by dirt throw back.
