Michael- I am enjoying watching you and the other cast of characters on the
Horseplayer show. Just curious if you know the name of the horse you got
outbid on in the sale? I got into the yearling game in 2011 because of
the tax laws that allowed 100% depreciation in the year you purchased the
yearlings. We hit the lotto on our first horse, the 2nd has been very success-
ful, and the 3rd is a moderate loss so far. Like Bruno, Kenny McPeek is amazing at picking out athletes at bargain prices. Now that the tax breaks
have expired I am not sure I will jump in this year but I will definitely
be up at the spa checking things out sale week. Good luck in your quest
to find a derby horse and in all your future tournaments.

Thanks for the kind words. I think the horse hasn\'t been named But...is in as Hip 83 at the Fasig Tipton sale in Florida soon. At least that is what some Twitter friends said last night. And, I know it wasn\'t a \"she\" but a he but hey it\'s REALity television right. Thanks again for watching. Shows have gotten much better in my opinion.

Yes, the Saratoga one was the best one yet. Here\'s what you didn\'t see.

The photo from day one they showed early cost me the contest. Not as tough a beat as that South American SOB winning the Marathon and costing me the Pick 6, but bad enough. The one between horses (Terminus) was getting banged around most of the stretch, finally got some room, came on and and lost the bob. I played two tickets, had him as my double bet on both, at 13-1 (the cap was 15-1). I made the lead halfway through the second day without that, before ending up seventh. If I won that photo I would have been first (by a lot) and fourth. First was 100k.

That\'s the photo loss I was talking about with Christian (\"karma\"), they showed the conversation out of sequence with the race.

Second, they shot me, Christian and Bob Levy around a table at the sales. I said, \"Buying yearlings is like if the NBA had a draft for 9 year olds who had never touched a basketball, and people picked them based on what they looked like and who their parents were\". The didn\'t use the conversation, but liked the line so much they had Beychok say it, changing it to Michael Jordan in kindergarten.

Michael, I forgive you. Give me an address, I\'ll send you a hat. And one for Carville.

I have been watching & been enjoyable.  Yes, they are getting better.  Not sure how they picked the cast of characters, but the young 23 year old, who didn\'t have the entry fee for Del Mar contests, is a $10 bettor!  Seems kind of odd/low for a show about high stakes racing?  Really, ten bucks?

Ep 5 much improved.  Guess they were just warming up.

Enjoying both the handicapping contest and the silliest hat contest!

Pete Sr is not acting, that\'s totally him without ant cameras.

The partnering at the finals in Vegas is rampant,can\'t stop it. Contest format a joke, cap way too high, nothing but a clueless blind stabfest at odds.Becomes a math contest at some point, handicapping out of the equation.

Recent rule change to not announce bets before the race a plus, add a win cap of 10-1 and 5-1 place, you will probably get a more fair result.

I agree with an adjustment in the win/place cap and yes, it does become more of a math contest in the later stages but that\'s just part of the contest in my opinion. And, for the record, that was my first and only attempt at the silliest hat contest. That is a competition where I cannot compete with those boys.

Who thought he was acting. De Niro could barely pull that off on his best day.
