After 2 great days of racing and some not so prudent investing its easy to see why lifer\'s like myself can never turn away from our sport. There is nothing whatsoever on earth that can replace the thrill of great horses, top jocks, big crowds, big mutual pools and the all around buzz.

Like many my overall interest and especially my participation at the windows has dwindled significantly over the past 5 years. Enough said we all know the reasons and today is not the time or place to address the sports many issues.

Kudos to Jimbo for starting a serious handicapping thread at the beginning of the week that set the tone for the reason most of us are here to begin with. Many have been silent on this board which is a shame. I\'m a realist and do not expect to capture the magic of the Triple Crown and BC on a daily basis but it sure is nice to get back to handicapping, serious discussions, strategies etc...

The people I\'ve met from this site, the serious industry discussions, the vast amount of knowledge obtained here along with just a Lil bit of bantering and testicle busting is simply too much fun.

Wise Dan is a complete and total beast and a lock for Horse of the Year. I hated to see Royal Delta go out that way in a non effort; she was a true warrior who probably danced too many dances. Groupie Doll was back to her old self for one last monster effort. I have to be an idiot for trying to beat Dank. The Macho Man finally ran the race many have been waiting for a long time. The 2 yr olds that have run on Lasix are at a huge disadvantage under the present format and the Euros just show their turf superiority again and again.

It would be nice to have the big events free of a track bias but the old Santa Anita back in the 70\'s & 80\'s was a total speedway on a daily basis. The only race that truly puzzles me over the entire weekend was Goldencents mile on Friday. Excluding him from my ticket on sheer numbers was idiotic and I knew he would have to gun all out to clear that field from the the 12 post; insane fractions and a Meadowlands jug head type last 1/4 of 26.48 with no one coming still baffles me!

So let\'s quell the whining, nonsense, personal and petty stuff and get back to what we do best here.
1) Have Jimbo question TGJB\'s Cali figures once a week.
2) Limit Miff to 6 clueless clowns and NY bred in the backyard slow rats per week.
3) Let P Dub declare Mike Smith day once a year
(A truly great comeback and a great big race rider the past 5 years Paul)
4) Limit Richiebee\'s trips upstate for my personal guided tours that can only lead to trouble.
5) NO RED BOARDING
6) Let TGAB just once wager on a 30/1 shot that he picks and posts
7) Maybe just maybe Frank D. will post a winning play before the year runs out!!!!

Frank D,

In the true spirit of calling a spade a spade, one of my best opinions was a NY Bred not so slow rat, Artemus Agritora and marathon Euro winner was truly a NY Bred slow rat who staggered by the US bunch late(Bluesky horse may have been toughest loser of BC)

Now have to listen to glowing praise of the Dallas Coward-boys for the next 10 weeks till they are knocked out in their first playoff game.Big Blue ailing,so a certain mutual friend emboldened!!

Mike,

That\'s one slow rat and one not so slow rat; you\'re on the clock!
