Heres one that makes you go \"hmmmmmmmmm\".

A very valuable mare (A.P. Indy mare - 560K earner) loses a foal and is sent to a clinic. While there, its discovered she has a fractured leg. Imagine that? Mare comes in for what I\'m guessing are internal precautions and suddenly a surgical procedure is necessary to set a leg.

I know they are high spirited animals. I know Ruffian essentially killed herself. However, is anyone else of the opinion that in the horse health care business the modus operandi is: \"If it happened at the clinic, the animal came in with the problem.\"

I\'ve added equine clinics to my list that includes politicians, policemen, judges and murderers:

\"Evans said he sent With Ability to Blue Ridge Equine Clinic in Free Union, Va., after a difficult foaling in which she lost her Giant\'s Causeway foal. Evans said the clinic discovered and attempted surgically to correct a fracture in With Ability\'s leg, but failed. She died Jan. 31.\"
