Just wanted to thank everyone for all of the good thoughts this weekend.

tough weekend when you have the fastest horses on the TGs in two different races, take the lead in the stretch in both and then fade to third both times.

Incidently, that\'s 4 races in a row where my horses have taken the lead in the stretch only to get caught at the wire. No good

I was surprised that Warrior didn\'t get the distance. The way he ran through the wire and galloped out in his 1 1/8 races led me to believe the extra 1/16th wouldn\'t be a problem but I was certainly wrong about that.

According to the jock, the track was a bit funny in that the inside was good on the backstretch but the inside was very deep on the outter turf course in the homestretch.  The jock that won our race also won the other 1 3/16 race on the outter course in that same 5 path so it was clearly better out there than on the rail in the stretch.  That said, Warrior got beat because he can\'t get that distance so we will have to cut him back to the 1 1/8 and 1 1/16 races for the rest of the year.

In terms of Restore the Shore, he ran a 67 beyer so if Jerry sees the race the same way as Beyer, we just lost a 25k maiden claimer by 3 lenghts running a 67 beyer and maybe a 10 on the TG.  WTF?  Note that the first two finsihers were first time lasix.

So, we crapped out this weekend and we go back to the drawing board.

Thanks again to everyone for the thoughts heading into the races, it really is much appreciated.

Hey, things go in cycles, a sweeter one yet awaits...

I have heard so many good things about the fairness of Colonial\'s Turf but there has been so much rain that it makes sense that some of the course could get a little more boggy. Your horse is game and he and the jock ran their hearts out. They gave their best in a very tough beat.

Never say die!
