He goes in the G1 Secretariat on Saturday at
Arlington Park.

Are we going to try to beat this guy again?

I mean, sooner or later, he has to lose, right?

Yep, on both questions.

Personally, I am likely to get \"sucked in\" to thinking that Summer Front can run faster than she has shown so far. (a dangerous assumption).  I like her turn of foot and the fact she has overcome slow paces and trouble in her starts.  May use Summer Front as my \"A\" and have a \"B\" on Finnegan\'s Wake.  Wanted to try the latter going longer.  She got that opportunity last time, but the course was very soft and not sure she wants that.  (don\'t know that she does or doesn\'t like it, but at likely 10-1 value in the multi-race bets, I have to user her as a \"B\" and toss Silver Max off my ticket.

Good luck

These are Colts Jimbo....not a bunch of Shes\'s.

Summer Front is always lightly pushed by Ramon giving the impression there is a lot more there. The issue then becomes how much and there is something to be said for being battle tested. Is there a 2 Pt POP in Summer Front? Maybe! But that will probably be priced into the Tote, give or take.

The Arlington turf course was a speed or stalking speed fest on Preview Day. Doubt anyone goes with Max. They came and got him at the head of the lane in the Colonial and he still had more left. Fastest horse in the race. Controlling speed. Game!!

He is a throw out on regression only after six straight wins. Otherwise Seven In A Row would not be unexpected at all....but its still a good race.

Silver,

Thanks for the gender correction.

Perhaps I was over-compensating for the chauvinist remark I made to Delmar Deb about 6 years ago.........

But gender aside, I stand by my view of the race.

Good luck.

Tried to beat Silver Max last out thinking this colt (by Badge of Silver) wanted no part of 1 1/4 but he trotted to the early lead (1:14).  If Handsome Mike or All Stormy goes with him early I think the French horse might come home the best.  Hoping to get 5/1 or more on Bayrir and hedge with the chalk.

I was trying to use that as an argument also but with the outside post he can just run outside of the speed and mind his own business.

Silver MAx is a really good horse but with that said I will be trying to beat him with the Euros since I don\'t think the US horses can beat him and hoping the last race took a little starch out of him..

Agree with looking to the European horses.  Gosden/Buick has been a powerful combination but tailed off recently.  O\'Brien is on fire over there, and Daddy Longlegs does have some early foot.  Worth a shot at a decent price.

Nice call on the winner, a full two days in advance to boot.

Silver Max stopped for coffee somewhere out on the
racecourse, apparently.

Silver Max needs a break. Jill Byrne said he was a little too keen in his training the day before. He had six wins in row and danced the dances. He has an excuse and the distance and toughness is Summer Fronts.

Regarding the French horse selection it was a good one. The legendary Aga Kahn is about like Dermot Weld. When they send something over here for this Big Day you need to look twice!

Thanks I did well today and hope you guys did as well.  Looking forward to making an appearance at Saratoga next weekend and meeting a few of you at the seminar.  Saturday can\'t come soon enough.  Best of luck to everyone.
