A small group of maybe 15 or so were treated to a seminar with a different touch. Julian is strictly a long shot player and provided some great insight as to structuring tickets on big odds plays. Of course he felt compelled to provide a real time example. In the 7th Palice Malice was 2/5 off a 5 in his first start; he liked the Lucas horse Hightail who was 13/1 and talked about getting 2 exacta\'s with the price horse. His play was a win bet on the 13/1, an exacta box with the 2, pressing with the favorite on top for some more, then playing the favorite with All/ Hightail in the triple. His 2nd exacta AKA the tri paid $235.00

Unfortunately it was the only winning play given out on a day where nearly 31,000 fans sweat to death. It was brutally humid and in the low 90\'s yesterday as uncomfortable a day as you could imagine and a very crowded race track.

A tough beat on the seminar pick of the day Riverdance Rock @ 6/1 looking like a winner coming out of the turn his saddle slipped and the horse bolted tossing the bug Keiber Coa. Let\'s just say a significant win bet was made here, OUCH !!!!

Yours truly posted a couple plays and the 12/1 morning line went off at 21/1 not running a step; while to 20/1 ML went off @ 10/1 and led every step of the race except the final couple. If Dancing To Town holds 2nd I catch the exacta and a place bet; instead I\'m on my way to a Jimbo day. Sorry buddy but I jumped into your boat yesterday figuring you could use the company.

The Whitney had Trickmeister as the key horse, he was bet down in Dutrow fashion from 15/1 to 6/1 but did not have the goods, Fort Larned was used heavy in the exacta sequence.

A great betting card, some non regrettable shots were taken on nice price horses, my ego and bankroll took a pounding but it still beats the heck out of going to work or a million other mundane tasks of daily life.

It was nice to meet moosepalm & banditbeau, Michael D. came by and I always value his perception of how the race will unfold. I thoroughly enjoyed 2 days of chatting with and gambling with Julian truly one of life\'s pearls.

A little warning to TGAB who made a futile attempt to move in on my weather forecasting franchise after I bounced last week; tread lightly Alan, Richiebee has already been warned, LOL. TGAB did call Julian and told him to handicap for off the turf later in the card as rain was immanent, Bobby G. swears he told you no shot of rain and a real meteorologist doesn\'t ask for help!

The odds of getting today\'s card in without T-storms aren\'t so good.

Good luck,

Frank D.

Didn\'t make the trek yesterday because given the weather, I would have been DOA by 6 PM, even after getting out for the day on the Whitney Ex.   Later in the meet . . . hopefully, the Alabama, at least.
