Okay, we\'ll see if we can come up with one a little more complicated.

In May, Dessert ran in a first condition allowance for straight 3yo fillies at Hollywood Park. It was a 5 horse field, and she was beaten by that monster, Fudge Fatale. She earned a 7 1/4 on TG, 87 on Beyer. A couple of weeks ago Dimitrova won the G1 Flower Bowl, against older fillies like Heat Haze, etc., earning a 5 on TG, a 103 Beyer.

Ragozin

a) also gave Dimitrova the better figure

b) gave them the same figures

c) gave Dessert a much better figure.

Yes, guys, it\'s c)-- if you believe Ragozin, Dessert\'s LOSING effort in a Spring nw1 allowance (or Fudge Fatale\'s winning one) would have been good enough to win the Flower Bowl by 6 lengths against G1 older mares.

Read that again.

Bonus question: In the aformentioned Flower Bowl, a Grade 1, Dimitrova and Heat Haze ran 1-3. According to Ragozin (who makes the NY numbers himself), they both

a) ran their eyeballs out, new tops

b) ran right back to their usual figures, as they did on TG

c) ran much worse than in any of their recent races.

Yup. This is an interesting one, because Ragozin marked it as a pace race, but seems to have forgotten/decided not to take off a few points, leaving the entire race collapsing. (The other possibility is that he tied this race on the inner turf to those run that day on the Widener, a mistake he has made before, but I made a big deal about it here after he did, so it\'s unlikely).

Note to Ragozin guys-- those of you who sent it in on Riskaverse in the Flower Bowl took a really tough beat, according to Ragozin. Her race that day may look about the same as the previous one, in the Beverly D-- she got beat a length and change by Heat Haze in both, Beyer and TG have her backing up slightly-- but, according to Ragozin, this one is 7 points worse. That\'s right, guys! If she had run back to her third in the Beverly D she would have won the Flower Bowl by 12 lengths! In fact, she could have won this race if she had only bounced 5 points! What a beat.

Anybody really believe that? You guys really should ask Friedman to post the whole Flower Bowl.

Note to LR-- see how that race looks if you take off 4.

It\'s funny you bring that one up, cause capping for this turf race coming up in the BC, this was the race i\'m having problems with RISKVERSE line before the FB race looked good, now throw\'s in the big bounce number and i\'m thinking about throwing her out, and HEAT HAZE looks to be a backward moving line on the sheets.
