Just seeing if our guy Covello wanted to comment, but I think his coach royal could be one to be heard from in this race. Love the pedigree for synthetic and should be fit off of back to back 1 1/8 races. I also believe Justin Sallusto will be heard from in the future as a reputable trainer.

Really appreciate the thoughts.

I honestly have no idea what to expect today.

I can tell you that he\'s doing very well physically and that the blinkers have really helped him focus in the mornings.

He has actually taken the lead inside the 16th pole 3 different times in his career, including against some nice horses like Daddy\'s Nose Best, but each time he started goofing around after he made the lead.  The blinkers seems to have made him more focused in his training so we are hopeful that translates to the afternoon.

Obviously he would need to move forward figures wise and I think he will off of the paired tops and with the blinkers but I have no idea if it will be enough to get a piece of this today.

I always find it extremley difficult to compare the dirt figures with the turf and synthetic figures.  The early pace in the dirt races is usually much quicker and the turf figures are typically negatively skewed by the slow early pace and that dynamic makes these races tough for me to handicap even when I don\'t have the bias of having a dog in the fight.
