Just saw the replay and this was a GIANT race. Pressed thru 23 and 3 then a 22 qtr opened up in 08 and change and probably beat the 3rd place pack 5+ lengths.

Beyer must be in 112 range!

Wrongly: Good guess!  DRF assigned a 113.

Lost Cause: Just from memory it seems there are always insane splits in the met mile and the front runners still do well.  I think it\'s the NYRA souping up the track.

alm: There was a $14,000 claimer earlier in the day.  Won by a very longshot.  Went in 1:09 and change.  \'Souped up\' aren\'t the words for it.

miff: Very fast surface, raw times in the fake fast zone.Tizway legitimately bottomed the field after a soft first quarter and spread them out. Will get a huge neg fig(maybe matching his top TG -3.5,also at Belmont).Loves Belmont and performs his best there, did not like him going in after watching him hang at GP two back. Horse for course for sure.

alm: All true, but he had the best numbers and looked as though he was prepared for this as a major objective.  With Bond half the battle is determining if he wants a particular race or if a race is a setup for a future effort.  There seemed little doubt he wanted this one.

jimbo66: Alm,

Agreed, whatever this horse had left we were going to see on Monday.  And obviously, he has a lot left.

The problem is going forward, he is a tough read.  Is he ONLY a big horse at Belmont?  He is tentatively pointed to the Whitney.  Two turns?  Tough call, but inclined to think \"not\", especially at what will likely turn out to be underlaid odds off the huge Met Mile run.
