TG - was just looking at this and if you can believe it, at this point, Gomez, Dominguez and Borel appear to be without mounts.

Horses in search of mounts include: The Factor (if he runs), assuming Jaycito runs well in LEX and M. Garcia stays on him; Stay Thirsty; and Santiva (assuming he gets in, 20th right now with Astrology\'s defections today...which, given that Bolton owns him and The Factor, leads me to think there is more of a chance of The Factor running today than there was yesterday.

Still amazing those three jocks are available at this point.

Don\'t you think Asmussen would reach out after Nehro\'s back-to-back flying second place finishes? If so, Nehro becomes 2nd choice on the board behind Dialed In.

I dont think Borel had a real ride when he picked up Mine that Bird late because somebody else he was supposed to ride went down or got pulled late!

One thing for sure whoever he rides....and he will have a ride....that horse will take a ton of money!!

Casey Lambert rode Mine That Bird at Sunland.  I don\'t think they were ever considering riding him in the Derby.  Chantal Sutherland rode him as a 2yo in Canada and was lobbying hard for the mount.  They chose Calvin over Chantal.  In the TV series Jockeys they showed Chantal trying to get the mount, being disappointed when Calvin got it, and watching MTB win the race from the jocks room at Woodbine.

Best guess as to where they land (assuming Mo runs so JV has that ride):

Stay Thirsty - Dominguez (rode him in Gotham and FlaD, unless TAP is pissed at him for the Florida ride, hard to see why he wouldn\'t ride him in derby)

Master of Hounds - Gomez (although if TAP is pissed at Dom, then these two could switch I suppose)

Santiva - Borel

The Factor - M Garcia, assuming Jaycito does in fact not run which given that TF is @CD and J is still out west, seems likely.

This leaves Comma To The Top still in search of a rider.  What the heck is Mike Smith doing these days...?

Nak\'s agent just announces (no suprise) that his client is staying on Nehro.  So CTTTop does need a rider.
