I heard they tried to get her to host Saturday Night Live...

Marcus,

I like the way you think.Z\'s ability has been in question and probably will be(for
anybody with an opinion)ad infinitum. The one thing that\'s certainly not in question is the fact She\'s a Star.

Love to see her come back next year.Anyone else? Heck,Goldie\'s coming back.
Someone mentioned(i think our host)loving to see Zenyatta try the grass.Imagine
if she took to it? Post 2011 BC HEADLINES: Americas champ steamrolls euros in
Turf Classic.

RACING NEEDS OUR STARS

Wow, Ragozin numbers.  Scrapping the bottom of the barrel there to make your case aren\'t you?

She tied the Belmont track record at 5 1/2 furlong in her maiden race, and ran 8 stakes races setting the stakes record in every one of them while being ridden out in 5-13 length victories.  She ran a 2:27.4 in the CCA Oaks which would of won by the Belmont by a couple lengths that year.   Without a shadow of a doubt the greatest female horse of all time.   Unfortunantly luck wouldn\'t be so kind to her as it has been to Zenyatta.

Well, I figure that since you have posted on the bottom of that barrel, I could quote figures from it.

\"She tied the Belmont track record at 5 1/2 furlong in her maiden race, and ran 8 stakes races setting the stakes record in every one of them while being ridden out in 5-13 length victories. She ran a 2:27.4 in the CCA Oaks which would of won by the Belmont by a couple lengths that year.\"

Raw times? Your barrel is even deeper than I thought. Can\'t you at least go back to quoting Beyers?

Now I\'m hoping that JB will tell us in whose favor he thinks Ragozin would blow the Zenyatta/Ruffian figures, given the trends.

This goes back to the ability/accomplishment thing-- apples and oranges. Like comparing Ruth and Bonds.

Yes, that\'s part of what I mean, not about Zenyatta, but in general.

\" Like comparing Ruth and Bonds.\"

This looks like a good opening for a post from magicnight, or perhaps I am just thinking wishfully.

Bonds vs Ruth? Well, since I\'m on a roll with my comparisons these days, I\'d suggest that a more appropriate one would be Ruth (with the Sox) versus Lincecum, if you sniff my drift.

[Edit: This should have linked to the later Rich Curtis post, above.]

You got it exactly %100 right \'Flighted . Zenyetta really has energized racing . For her to continue a campaign on the International or Global circuit almost sounds like a return to those glory days for racing . ..
