Is this a dry year for developed colts or what!

I know the Calif horse goes in the Norfolk on Sat and he looks like a decent runner. But he is small one and I would question how far he goes on 9 months for now.

When I look at the East Coast I know Pletcher had some romping Maiden winners at the Spa but that was it. Where are the Stakes horses. Did I miss a Two year Stake at Belmont last month. Maybe the Futurity or was that at Saratoga....I\'m confused.

Yes yes I understand the Seigel owned Dutrow trained runner is pretty good but that Spa win was probably on the slow side.

Not really complaining here. Just noting that we may have some really green horses showing up in the BC Juvy.

Silver,

I guess that depends on what you mean by \"developed\".  If you mean horses that have run 3 or 4 races by now, and established themselves as leaders in the division.  Then \"no\".  But if you mean \"fast\", there are a couple of colts that have run figures on TG already that would have won a few Kentucky Derbies in the last decade.  (I believe there are several colts that have run 0 alreaady).  That is pretty developed.

I figured that...no pun intended!

At the very least Uncle Mo (102 Beyer) would have won this years Belmont.;) So what have we got a bunch of horses who will run in the Juvy off a Sprint Maiden race only. Thats my point!

And I doubt too many people will be rushing off to Keeneland for the Lanes End around two turns and on the rug like they have the last few years.

And by the way if you dont have any points how do you get in the race. Others who are much slower will qualify because they won the Grade III Ellis Park Juvy. Not complaining just pointing how deliberate trainers are being with their stock. The BC Juvy is back on dirt and it doesnt seem like anybody is in a real rush to prep their horse up to get there......

Silvercharm  The Bernardini colt \"stay thirsty\" is the real deal he will win the champagne and be awful tough in the juvy.  another bernie that is developing is author\'s tale.  Let\'s see
