Anyone have any thoughts On Emmy Darling? Had a decent line going then exploded 3 races back reacted pretty bad but now has had 4 months to recover. The obvious negatives are the last race was so so bad and shes for sale for 1st time but if she is near her 5-1 (ML) might be worth a bet that she starts to move back towards that top.

Siphon,

Emmy\'s last was against much better and she got used hard up front, toss that fig.Shes drops in class, is controlling speed on paper. On Wednesday Del Mar was not very kind to horses on the front end though. Only one survived on the lead,at a desperate 3-5, a few others with clear easy leads got beat at short prices.

Interesting that Del Mar finally warmed up yesterday, guess the surface changed a bit.Good luck

Emmy Darling, a winner of 5 of 20 starts, won the Landaluce Stakes at Hollywood Park in 2008. She was fifth in the Breeders\' Cup Juvenile Filly Turf at Santa Anita that year. This year, Emmy Darling has won three allowance races or optional claimers. Thursday\'s race was her first appearance for a claiming price.

Made for Magic, who finished fifth as the favorite, was claimed in a 12-way shake by trainer Rafael DeLeon. Made for Magic has won two stakes in the last year, including the Grade 2 Milady Handicap at Hollywood Park in May. She was sixth behind Zenyata in the Grde 1 Clement Hirsch Stakes at Del Mar on Aug. 7. Made for Magic was claimed by previous trainer A.C. Avila for $16,000 at Golden Gate Fields in August 2009.

I wouldn\'t be so fast to claim off Avila, especially what happened to Fantasy free the race after he left the Avila barn. Twelve claims, wow, the economy must be getting better.
